Call for Clarity Before the Cuts
Sarah Dyke MP, Somerset Councillors, Mayors, Glastonbury, Street, Wells Councillors, Hospital League of Friends, and residents are collectively urging NHS Somerset to pause and rethink their plans. There was a strong call for clearer, more transparent communication regarding the proposed cuts to community hospitals and how these changes will impact local communities.

West Mendip is a fantastic local asset which needs to be used more rather than less. My extended family have had scans, hearing tests, stitches, X-rays, physio, consultant appointments and my late father was an inpatient following a stay in hospital which benefited him hugely. It needs to be cherished and developed, not cut in any way.
