We must maintain a clean and healthy environment for the generations to come.

Over the bank holiday I enjoyed a magical 4 mile walk in and around Bawdrip (a village 4 miles from Bridgwater). I joined the local community for Rogation Sunday to “beat the bounds”. This is an old tradition where local people walk their village boundaries together.

It started off sunny, then we had rain, followed with hail, then came thunder & lightning, and sun again, and finally a massive storm. After the walk we sheltered at Peasey Farm Shop for bite to eat.

Clean rivers, thriving nature and access to green spaces and clean air is my, and a Lib Dem, priority.

The Lib Dems want to see water run by public benefit companies and will stop the defunding of the Environment Agency and Natural England to help prevent pollution and expand protected areas. Under the Conservatives, the UK fails 17 out of its own 20 biodiversity targets. We must maintain a clean and healthy environment for the generations to come.
