BBC shine a light on home office visa “unnecessary distress” on critically ill Somerset woman.
Following my last blog update on the difficulties being faced by one family from Evercreech, because of heartless Home Office visa rules, the BBC is now covering their story, online and on radio, with TV coverage possible as well.
I was interviewed by the BBC for the radio report and by BBC Online.
This latest media has led to a top legal firm approaching the family and offering to help support their case. Although at the time of writing this blog I am unable to share some of these details of the legal advice, it is taking this case down some extraordinary pathways.
Without this legal intervention the Home Office is expecting the family to raise at least £34,600 by October to avoid Sossa being kicked out of the country. Read more about their story here.
