‘We’ve run the campaign of our life’

On Friday morning, we may wake up to something special, which many thought wouldn’t be possible. Bridgwater turning Lib Dem yellow.

It’s a very real prospect. Having run the campaign of our lives, we have given ourselves the best possible chance of delivering a Liberal Democrat MP for Bridgwater, Burnham, Highbridge, North Petherton and our surrounding villages.

We have delivered seven leaflets, one magazine and engaged and spoken with thousands of people.

We’ve run Q&A sessions across the constituency, not only visiting Bridgwater, Burnham and Highbridge but reaching Cannington, Westonzoyland and North Petherton.

We’ve held two fundraising events with outstanding results, raising the money needed to undertake the strongest campaign of any political party standing a candidate in Bridgwater.

Across the media, our positive message of hope has been shared numerous times, with more than 50 articles published since the turn of the year.

It’s promoted our climate agenda, as I’ve helped campaign with the Pawlett Hams Group protecting our natural environment. We’ve campaigned for schools, medical centres, and with our support a new NHS dentist is opening in Bridgwater.

I’ve visited food banks, helping to set up a coastal watch for Burnham, protected funding for our RNLI service, pushed for better public transport and stood by constituents when no one else would.

Stakeboards have gone up across the constituency. On social media, we’ve reached more than 80,000 people since the beginning of the campaign, promoting our incredible manifesto which will do more to help people in need than any other.

I attended every hustings I was invited to, unlike Labour, who didn’t attend any, and I relished answering challenging questions.

But to win we must translate our support into votes at the ballot box. Remind your friends and family to go and vote – and remember their ID!

I’d like to thank all those who have been part of this journey and helped in this effort. Your contributions will never be forgotten.

So, on Thursday, vote Lib Dem, and I will ensure that a Fair Deal returns to Bridgwater, Burnham, Highbridge and North Petherton.

With love and thanks

Claire

really good luck for tomorrow Claire. After our chat at the puprple spoon cafe the other week, I definitely believe you would be a great MP for our constituency. You deserve to win and our constituency needs you.
